is it possible to get one of those plastic louvers that looks like a scoop, an air intake or whatever and cut a hole, say in your hood or fender or eherever, and install it professionally in such a way that you cant see a seam around it and it looks factory? I was thinking of putting one on the fender and running an intake into it, like the way they come on mustangs (minus the hole in the fender)

anyone do this or have pics?

as well, bondo, can it crack and peel or whatever when it gets very cold? Sometimes my car sees minus 40 celsius (same is munis 40 farenheit)

I dont drive when its that cold tho.

I'll try to answer these one by one.

Expensive? If you wanted to "install it professionally in such a way that you cant see a seam around it and it looks factory" then unless you can do your own body work it wont be cheap.

Good Idea? I'm not sure, I haven't yet crossed this path but I'm sure other folks have.

better spend money elsewhere? Yeah, get yourself an injen cai and cae.

yea it doable.

reason #1 NOT to do it. its not cheap, if do it yourself, better have *** loads of experience doing it otherwise gonna looks like ****!

actually dude on 240sx.org did that with his hood, it has tutorial. im prety sure you can take off ur fenders, cut em in the same manner, just go look at theit install section.
