View Full Version : Sreamer pipe + AEM Wideband?

Need Suggestion.I'm running IsIs Screamer pipe and I just bought AEM wideband.If I Will mount sensor on test pipe It wont be reading exhaust gases that going thru screamer pipe so it will show me lean.I'm not sure if my thoughts are right.
Please Help.

lol, no, it will read correctly.
the wideband is measuring the chemical content of the gases passing by... if some of the gases are diverted out the dump tube, the chemical content remains the same.
the only way to affect the wideband reading is to have an exhaust leak. under low flow, this creates a venturi effect that sucks some fresh air in through the exhaust leak. this fresh oxygen makes the sensor read leaner than actual.
sensor in the test pipe is fine.

i dont suggest running it way down in the test pipe, run it closer to the turbo if possible.

AEM suggesting 18-30 inches after the turbo.It's right where testpipe is.
