I'm not too convinced that's the case.
The idea wasn't all that great to begin with & the script was just embarrasing.
All the money in the world & the best talent can only do so much.
(Well, maybe I take the talent part back, that chick Kreutz is pretty awful.

Great moviemakers do the best they can with existing resources.
There are plenty of independant films that are more commercially & critically successful, yet made on a more modest budget.
