i am planing on buying a twin plate cluch very soon and Iv'e narrowed it down to three different manufacturers. Os giken, cusco, and nismo. The types I am looking at getting all have a sprung hub. Does anyone have any info on pedal effort and drivability between the three. By the way I know twin plate clutches are harsh and my car is not a daily driver.

Well it is going to be stiff...and expensive...and slave cylinders will wear faster but it will grab like a gorilla on hypers. You will not slip them that is for sure..
From others advice (since I don't own one but have driven one)
Go with EXEDY.
Although Subaru uses them, I have heard of them in our Nissans...perhaps some research is of order...but .....
Others should chime in. I don't need to go that route myself.
I cannot answer your questions to which brand is best...but should not all of them have some sort of spring tension spec?
Slave and Clutch cyl. will take a beating ...and a hose upgrade may be in the works plus eliminating the modulator valve on the frame rails.
1500 to 2000 dollars for a clutch, I would seek the answers out from the sellers as in specs.
I suggest an entire hydro upgrade to boot.
I have studied it ...but not gone there.

I'm almost 100% sure that this is NOT what you're looking for, but it may give you a vague idea if you're completely clueless.
From what I've heard/read, of the three you list, OS Giken would be the clutch of choice (that's all they make -clutches- afaik). Not that the Nismo or Cusco units will be any measurably inferior, just that OS Giken (along with ORC and Exedy) is one of THE top names (as well as most used, if I understand correctly) in clutches.
I'm sure all three will meet and likely exceed your needs, but personally, I'd go with OS Giken.

OS Giken is an excellent brand. I actually just drove a CA18DET 180 with an OS twin plate in 3 days ago and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Drivability will be a little worse when it comes to towns and what not but besides starting from stand stills as long as you get the feel of it, you'll be fine. You'll work out your left foot driving, hehe.
Don't over look ORC(Ogura Racing Clutch), it's right up there with the other brands you mentioned, just not to familiar to people in the US I guess, but they are great. A friend has a 550hp silvia with a twin plate ORC clutch and it's street driven (he swears by ORC).
