Hi i was thinking about trading one of my car for a 90' 240sx fastback that i found on cl. The thing is it need an alternator the owner told me that he did a ca18de swap just recently and it need an alternator to get it running. So i'm wondering what kind of alternator would fit in there i was thinking and taking a wild guess that a pulsar or a ka24de alternator might would fit in there, but somehow the owner told me that he read somewhere that the pulsar alternator wouldnt fit. So if anyone know for sure or what kind of alternator would fit in there please let me know that would be great thank you.

i know... SR and sohc and dohc alt work if u change the front coverassembly...
might be the same with the sohc alt...swap the front cover...see if you cant find part numbers and diagrams...if internals and rear housings are a match...the the front covers could be interchangable

pfft...no clue...
id suspect that, if the bolt pattern on the front cover is the same, it might be interchangable, i know the sohc and dohc are interchangle, but the front pulley rib count for the belt is different...swap it and go...i think you also have ot drill out the threads or something..im not to sure...
