does anyone know if it's possible to bring 2 17" rims with me to california?
or if it's possible to bring 2 17" rims from california with me home?
i can't find and specific information regarding this.
sorry for the possible dumb question. i think it's just easier bringing stuff with me rather ship shit.

it costs like 40 dollars to ship two rims without tires
i'd rather do that then lug them shits on a plane

you can do it
people bring in parts when flying from japan all the time
you just have to figure out how you're going to store them

I think one person is allotted one small carry on baggage and like 50 or 80lbs of shit to go in the plane. You have to pay extra for more weight though, like an arm and a leg extra. Thats from my little experience of traveling.
Are you trading rims or something? or are you just taking your rims on a vacation? lol.

oh man fuck that shit.
it's fucking cheaper to ship them
bag has to be <50lb's and <62inches of combined WxLxH
it's less then 50lb's, but it'd have to be over 62 inches combined to fit 2x 17x9 rims
for delta airlines, it's $175 ONE WAY for baggage between 62-80 inches.
fuck. that.

yeah but what about carry on?

carry-on is small and you're only allowed one medium bag, which i'll have all my clothes and shit in
and one small bookbag sized bag, which i'll have my laptop/etc stuff in.
the rest ya gotta check.
checked bags <50lbs and <62" is $23 one way.
i'm not sure if i can have each rim in it's own bag tho.
edit: ya i can have a rim in each bag but it'd be $56 total, shipping is only a little more, and i'd have to lug them shits around so fuck it.
thank you zilvia

Whenever my parents or relatives travel back to the Philippines, they each carry one of those HUGE FUCKING BOXES called Balikbayan (sp?) which I believe translates to "back to the people." It's a longshot, but I think two 17x9's can fit in there with cardboard to protect the faces.

Nice!!!! My friend always has one of these in his living room so that his family can toss old things into for their relatives back in the Philippines.
