i was really hating this "why do people always convert civics to rwd or try to do shit it wasnt intended for?"..
i saw someone mention it earlier and thought how stupid
until i opened the link and see they just put the civic body on the subaru chassis. I would like have done a more sexier car as the body though. but nice work.

This could be epic but he doesnt care how it looks with the "its no show car" attitude.. imagine if he could lower it w/ rims and didnt paint his windows :rl:

I can appreciate the vision and ingenuity. im just glad it wasnt some half ass'd project that failed before it started.

it may not be everyones cup of tea but some hard work and determination went into this.

im just waiting for the "i drift i hate civic's" fanboys to come along and bash. its only a matter of time.

This is amazing. I could only imagine how good the car would have turned out if he seemed to care.

This guy is confused.

You keep the Honda engine and put it in something that looks cool.

that does nothing for me.
the civic isn't especially cool or modest.
I don't see the appeal any way at all.

now if he'd thrown in the wrx chassis into something like a Pinto body,
that would be great.

I own a civic and I'm tired of seeing them myself.

i think it is a really neat work but waste of time. it is like you tried to prove you can give a really fancy ugly hair cut

If you saw that on the street you would be like "rice"

if hes that talented it wouldnt have taken much more to make it look as cool as it is

I prefer that guy who did that subaru motor in a beetle.

The car looks stock aside from the front bumper pig nosing a big.

Why are you all complaining so much?

I don't see you all building anything that takes more skill.

Because most people in this thread are close minded and couldn't do 1/16 the work this guy did.

this is a awesome build. took some skill and well thought out process.

I prefer that guy who did that subaru motor in a beetle.

its actually pretty common to do that with Porche motors too from what my co worker tells me...

agreed...most people here are satisfied with the amount of "skill" it takes to install a piece of rubber toe board on there bumper and making it look "clean" (home depot lip)...

wow the work that he did actually turned out amazing for what its worth, i want to see some vids of this thing in action. its sad that he put so much effort into putting the whole thing together but made the car look like total shit on the outside, well i guess theres not much you can do to make a civic look good haha.

the guy who did it obviously likes it. more power to him.

the amount of work he put into that thing is amazing!
i understand why he has the hood scoop, but it looks much better without it
lower it+wheels-hood scoop, i think it'll look pretty decent!

either way, it's better than the "silvic"...

my 2nd thought, give it some time and he will make it look cool... but from looking at his background and area *im stereotyping*, he wont have that influence to do much.

Id love to see him take this to a subaru dealership to get some engine work done lol

That Civette looks horrible the way he painted it etc, though its great craftsmanship, would have been way cooler to put that vette drivetrain into say a chevy product *like a 67-69 camaro body, or even a blazer shell etc*

A Porsche 914 with a subie' engine will shit all over this.
1. It can be a show car
2. Nice autocross car
3. Similar prices
4. Will hold much more value.
5. WAY LESS MORE WORK!

Yeah see, that was my issue with it.

I wasn't sure if he was talking about the socioeconomic ratings we give countries or "The World's First Subaru Powered Civic".

Fucking confusing.
