I have a 95, and I tried to take off my automatic shift knob but its held on by two connecting wires at the base. One is black and one is white. I can't find a way to disconnect these wires. I tried pulling at it but I broke one of the wires and now my overdrive switch does not work. does anyone know anything about this? Please, any help would be great.

The two wires you are referring to are just a basic ground and positive wire. Just tap or race tape it back together and you will be fine (make sure you strip it first).
When buying another AT aftermarket knob, make sure it is OD compatable. OD aftermarket knobs will come with OD wires to tap your existing wires to.
Let me know if that was understandable or not.
If not I'll try to clarify more, its kind of late..brain not working to well

Should I cut the wires to take the shift knob off?

Yeah if you are getting the Razo gun grip, it comes with wires to tap into your stock OD wires. The Razo Knob also comes with the equipment to tap in.
Let me know how it turns out

Well first off i know this topic is acient but, i too have had the same problem after fiddling with my shift knob... i think i must have disconnected or broke one of the black or white wires on the knob or somewhere along the way. Anywho... the O/D light no longer comes on and O/D no longer works.... its been like that since October. 02..... so my question is... If i re-attatch these wires to the knob or when i replace my knob in the spring they O/D Should would then?
