Quick question. I have a 90 240sx. Im looking around tryin to figure out my fuel problem and I noticed something weird. Underneath the car where the 3 hard fuel lines run, one of my just has like a 6in hose with a hose clamp on the end but going no where. I know the other two hard lines are the feed line and return line but whats the third one for?

Third is for emissions iirc. I believe it goes to the EVAP.

Is it needed and does it pull any vacuum?

3 lines into the tank: feed, return, and vent.

The vent line goes into a one-way check valve to separate fumes from liquid.

The vent line then goes into the evap charcoal canister next to the radiator if you still have one. The two other lines in the canister goes to vacuum and TB port.

There is no vacuum on the vent line. Just gas fumes.

Run it to the evap canister, or if you don't have the canister any more, run the one way check valve to a filter and leave the vent line open to atmosphere.
