on my s14 on the stock power cable to the battery is 2 fuses that run into the fuse box... can I remove them n extend the wire to the trunk or do I need to keep them...also since im using 4 gauge wire do I still have to spice in the alternator wire cuz on my harness the alternator runs from a plug on the fuse box to the alternator..

you are making it more complicated than it needs to be.

see the red cable? thats the positive... connect it to the other positive wire.
see the black cable? thats the ground, ground it to the chassis.

Ok, you know the the wire that goes on the + battery terminal? Run right off that to the trunk. That way you don't have to mess with fuses and and splicing and what have you. BUT...you do need to add a circuit breaker about 12 inches away from the battery on the + wire that goes to the front of the car. And make sure you put the battery on the passenger side in the TRUNK, not inside the car with you.
