Hi All,

Well I am trying to adjust my clutch pedal and engagement point on the clutch pedal, but it seems to get stuck at a certain point and stops allowing me to adjust via the master cylinder push rod. I unlocked the nut, then i can turn counter-clockwise nice and freely up until 1 an inch and it just gets stuck and i can not turn it anymore for the life of me!! I just picked up this 240 and it has a new exedy stage 2 clutch on an s13 SR.. it is very frustrating because it such a bitch to drive due to the clutch pedal's engagement point being at the top along with about 2 inch of free play/dead space! Anyone have an idea on what i can do or what size wrench to use to turn the push rod? I tried sizes 6, 7, and 8mm wrenches and nothing grips on to spin it.. please help!

Thanks!

Try dissconecting the push rod from the pedal. It'll be easier to spin it once it's dissconected, and you should be able to compress it enough to put it back on once it's turned all the way in. If you can't compress it enough to get it off, unbolt the master, so you can pull it out.

ok cool it worked.. but for some reason.. there is still dead space at the top of the pedal.. if i push down the pedal it comes up, but not all the way - it doesnt come up where the dead space is, so i would have to use my foot to pull it up for that 1 inch of dead space, but that space isnt really necessary and has no effect on the master cylinder.. does it seem like the pedal isnt on correctly?

try bleeding it? i adjusted mine to engage immidiately and i had a leak in my line which pulled some air in and it self adjusted the engage point to the top of the pedal, fixed the leak, bleed the clutch, good to go

i bled it and its still the same.. did more research and i read that the exedy stage 2 clutches chatter and the engagement point is high.. anyone who has it can verify that because that is exactly what i am experiencing now!
