amp fuses help

ok well heres the thing i installed new battery terminal post and when i did that i tried to install my cable for my amp and all of a sudden sparks came out and it burn the fuses and i was ok well no biggie. i changed the fuses and just when i was pluging them in they sparked and burned again now can anybody help me out here

Disconnect the ground wire first.

Make sure all of your wire are going to the right places (not giving 12v to amp ground!) and key off!
Then plug in your fuses, then connect the amp wire to the battery positive post.
Then connect the battery negative post to ground.
Sounds like there is a parasite, or you're connecting the wires wrong.
