ok so i bought as s13 silvia q's with a sr20det swap in it and it has an os giken clutch in it, when i first got the car the transmission was making a slight grinding noise when sitting in neutral and was stupid hard to press the clutch so i thought it was the throw out bearing.. i didn't change it right away and the noise started happening when i was depressing the clutch but went away while in gear...
so yesterday out of no ware i had a horrible time getting the car into gear and eventually wasn't able to, and had to crawl home... so me and my friends replaced the throw out bearing last night..
it still wont go into gear
the grinding whirling noise when in neutral is gone
but when i depress the clutch you can hear it still (grinding whirling noise)
pedal still really stiff but not stupid stiff
i have no solid idea what it is and would love some help ASAP because this is my DD!!!!

pretty sure all single disk clutches like that make a chattering noise.
might want to try and bleed the system and take out the clutch dampener or whatever people always remove if you havent already.

OS Giken Clutches require a specific TOB and Sleeve with the clutches.
I have a Twin plate and had to use a special Sleeve and TOB, No issues with mine
Not sure about the singles, But im sure you cannot just use a stock SR TOB
Stock on the Left OS Giken on the Right

As you can see (other than height) the OS Giken TOB has a raised lip towards the inside, thats the pivot/contact patch for the fingers on the Pressure Plate.
If you uses a regular TOB the contact spot is moved more outside so your pushing against the Fingers causing it to possible break the PP
That probably why your clutch feels really stiff
Single plates might be able to use the Stock SR Sleeve, but im pretty sure you have to use an OS Giken TOB

when i took the TOB out it had the same style and size sleeve piece.... but with the TOB it self being the only actual part that was different
so basically your saying thats the noise its supposed to make?
and that since the main point of contact on the pressure plate is changed i cant fully depress the clutch right? (until i get an os giken one)
but my question is even if i had a bad TOB i would still be able to depress the clutch to enter a gear which i was unable to do before i changed it out

I dont think it suppose to be that loud, mine makes a similar noise, but hard to tell over a camera
depends on how bad the TOB was, if the bearings were bad then you could still disengage the clutch it would just make a horrible noise.
If the bearing seperated then you probably wouldn't be able to disengage it,
Do some research for the single plate to find out which TOB you need to use, other wise you might end up breaking the Pressure plate if your using the wrong TOB
