me being a normal teenager not wanting to spend alot of money i bought the procarparts.com intake figuring how much different could a pipe have with the exception of the name on it. i get the intake and try to install it and none of the hoses line up (the pieces to plug into are the wrong size not to mention there is an extra one and they point in the wrong direction. oh aad ther isent a air temp sensor hole) i am contacting them now and will tell you the result

as of right now i suggest not getting the intake but i will keep you updated

here is the email i sent:
I recently purchased a 1995-1998 Nissan 240sx air intake system. My ID number was xxxxx, and my problem is that this intake does not fit on my car. The ports for the hoses point in the wrong direction, they are the wrong size, and there is an extra one. Close the the MAF, there is an air tempature sensor and there is no hole in the system for it. I would like very much to resolve this problem without having to go somewhere else with my business. I am in contact with many people that have a similar car and would benifit from a low priced intake that would fit there car. With you making this situatiuon right, I would be more than happy to suggest this intake to 1305 members of an online forum. I am only out to get a quality product for my car and would like to know your standing on this situation. An intake that does fit would be preferable, but if that isent an option I will be more than happy to return this product if it does come to that and would appriciate it if you would refund my payment of $99.95 for the intake plus shipping as well as send a UPS call tag for the package.  I understand how shipping is usually nonrefundable, but this does not fit my car and it should.  Thank you

I bought the same intake and agree 100% it looks like it wasn't even meant for our car. You try to save money and you end up wasting it. I guess we learn the hard way.

I got mine to work also but I'm not sure about the hose that connected to the old airbox. The way they had it set up, it gets crimped and I'm not sure what it's purpose is. Is it possibly for the EGR valve?

Yeah I've seen some cheaper 240sx intakes out there.  One being the Hayame.  What most companies are unaware of is that 89-90 is different, 91-94 are different, and 95-96 are different, and finally 97-98 are different.  The ones I've seen that are inexpensive are listed for all applications.  Through doing my own research, the Hayme fit 89-90, and the other model fits 95-96, and 91-94 with a longer hose.

Not sure on the others.  AEM and Injen seem to have done there research on each 240sx model
