I've had them just for a savings account for the last three years... It was worth it back when the interest rate was 3.5%. Now it's only 1.5%... If you are going to save money, then put them in CDs. Not a savings account. You'll just be too tempted to burn it on something you like, then the interest you earned turns out to be nothing because it didn't mature long enough.
