Well over the winter I decided to accidentally cut the wipers on while my windshield was frozen so of course the arms that control the windshield came apart. I put them back together and they will not stay. Is there a secret to keeping these things together. It was raining nicely today when it decided to pop off again. The one that is popping off runs from the motor to the passenger wiper. I know they can't be glued or whatever just wondering if there is some secret I am missing here.

you talking about the arms under the plastic?
id put a zip tie to keep it from popping off again. and put some grease in there so it moves easy

Yes I'm talking about the arms not staying together.
You sound exactly like me there. I've tried zip ties and even rubber bands to keep them together. The problem is the way it's designed. The shape and movement of the the part that the ball is on makes it difficult. Too tight and the zip tie snaps, too loose and it just falls off.

yeah its a pita in there. maybe the ball it sits on is just rounded or worn out. may be time to replace. if you can find a junkyard or some one selling one id pick it up.
Mine sounded like grinding concrete and with some grease, and some cleaning i was able to get it back together. Im always nervous with using the wipers so I rain X the windows and call it a day lol

Thanks for the help. I'll see if I can pick up the center wiper part with the ball joints and put grease on both of the ball joints. Thanks for the help. Only time rain x doesn't do well is in the mornings when there's a little moisture on the window. Having to go 30+ to get it to move is a pita. Haha
