Don't know how it happened but the two pieces that stick out to keep the chain from falling on a sr timing chain broke off. I'm hurtin for time and want to know what the best solution is without buying another new one. I got the motor out because I was just rebuilding it. A friend suggested using j b weld to keep them in place but I don't want to risk it. I was thinking of putting head on with cams and all with the front cover off to make sure it's good and change it in the future. You guys see any problem with that or think of anything better.

real welding >jb weld
do it right or do it twice. is it really worth it to half ass something and have it bite you in the ass?

I don't know how possible it is to weld. It's small and aluminum.

Ahhhhh Ive pulled one off with the head still on, its a tight fit. if the head is bolted down i dont think you'll be able to slip it on......
