Ac set up

Ok I'm not sure if this is in the right spot but I have a s13 red top sr20 and I just had my ac reinstalled and the compressor sits about 3/8 of a inch back and the pulley doesn't line up. Any ideas? Thanks

to me it sounds like you have a blacktop compressor/to block adapter. I had the same problem in my s13's... the pulley would sit to far back and wouldnt line up for a belt so i bought a redtop compressor bracket and all was well.

I now have a s14 so i went to CodyAce for a redtop to s14 ac compressor adapter bracket. He makes adapter brackets for a few different configurations.

sorry to jump in here, but after reading this i realized i bought a completed a/c system from a guy that has a s13 black top, but i have a s13 redtop in my s14. he has an s14 as well. is there any differences?

was he using the s14 KA AC compressor? If so it should work fine in yours.

ok i got the bracket and it came with no instructions. the shop says the compressor is still off and there isnt enough mounting holes. does anyone think codyace accidently sent me the wrong bracket kit?
