so i'm in another country for like 5 more months and away from the car :bite: butttt i do have my 360, forza 2/3, and a 32" lcd in my room lol. so i'm thinking about grabbing a steering wheel/pedal setup to make them a tad more realistic. what ones do you guys have? what do you reccommend? any to stay away from? thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i hear xbox is bad with steering wheels since it has something to do with the system not being designed with it in mind or something with the axis.

but theres only 1 wheel i would go with for xbox, be ready to caught up $$$$
this is a good one because its multiplatform so you can throw it on a pc, ps3 or xbox

damn thats not too bad considering the microsoft wheel/paddles are like 100.00 so its only a couple hundred more. but yeah, a little out of my league though

you should check on the forza/turn10 forums. i've been meaning to look there to see if anyone has tried the logitec G25 wheel on forza 3 yet. i remember a lot of people griping that the g25 has a clutch pedal and a stick instead of padles, making the microsoft wheel seem like a toy, not helping the simulation factor at all. ad to the fact microsoft wont let any 3rd party manufacturers make a wheel fith force feedback (motors that will turn the wheel to simulate bump-steer effects) so if you want true force feedback (not just a rumble wheel) you have to get the microsuck wheel. also in forza 2 they got rid of the "clutch kick" feature from the first game (quick tap of the e-brake was like a clutch kick at WOT)

now fast forward to forza 3, and there is now an option to drive with manual trans + clutch. i have tried multiple controller configurations and driving, forget racing, driving alone is damn near impossible with a clutch if you want to downshift while braking. rev matching will make you turn your fingers into pretzels on the controller.

so i'm wondering... did the guys at turn 10 sneak in g25 compatability under the microsoft cert radar? maybe a patch after release? turn 10 is enormously famous for thier devotion to the forza fans, so they may have done this to please us.
i just need to pop on the forums to see if anyone has tried...

The only racing game I like these days is Grid online. Drifting and demolition derby = so fun.
