Whats up people! After months and months of coming on this site and reading posts and looking at pics I can now say that I am part of the Nissan family. My car has a arrived this morning and I am so happy that I have this car. I can't explain how much I dreamed about owning this incredible car and now it is a reality. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and I will post my cars pic soon.....BTW does anyone know how to take off pinstriping? :D :D :D :D

Glad you got your car and hope you enjoy it! For the pinstripe question you have, i used a blow drier and used my school id to just take it off fairly easy.

you can't link to stuff on your computer. it has to be hosted someplace online.

lol, no kidding...be happy for the guy, not that he has a "slow car", but that he found something he wanted!

Some people just enjoy making pointless coments to put others down.

i am happy for the guy, but is it really necessary to start a whole new thread to anounce this? it seems like every other post is "i bought my s1X finally, it's so great i've been dreaming, stroking BLah blah blah about it" in the end, it's just a car and i'm just some anonymous person on the internet, no need for either of you to get upset about it.

maybe we should have a sticky where you can announce your new purchase, or you could just post it in the pictures thread. starting a new thread like this is a little too "look at me"-ish.

shut up slut. don't rain on someone else's parade because it makes you feel better. This forum is for 'General Chat about the Nissan 240sx', not flame someone because they got a stock 240.
Last time I checked, being a 240 enthusiast involved loving the 240 for what it is, not for what it could be.

I understand and i'm not upset, but this is NOT an unnecessary thread.

For one thing, he is introducing himself into the Zilvia and 240sx community, he wants to show off his car(which i am all for, i like pics:p ), and he asked a question about how to remove the pinstriping.

So really, it was necessary.:hammer:

i think you took it the wrong way, i'm not flaming about the new purchase. it's about thread-age.

jeez...

I see your point there, slut, but as he's not posting pics yet, it's unnecessary for him to post in the picture thread. As for the pinstriping ?, yeah he should've searched. Frequently, however, new users need to be told to use the search function.

Howz about we don't be downers. Keep unwanted comments to yourself. Be happy because the guy is happy. And your first "slow car" comment was out of line, and instead of apologizing, you found new flaws in the post to offset your glaring error. So sad.
Everybody be happy!

If everyone used the search function there would be no message board. Everything had been covered at least once.

Seeing peoples excitement and learning how different folks approach each situation is most of the fun. Since it is Taboo to bring up an "old" post (greater than a month) and everyone experiences different things in different ways...and that folks with a modem generally time out before the search is completed (it has happened to me many times on a modem) should be taken into some form of consideration. Also, we learn new things. Something that is "finalized" in an older post in a search may have new and fresh information rendering many of the older posts invalid at the present time and present posts invalid in the future. All this and that if you took the time to read through all the posts:

1. It would take years. This hardly would not take care of something I would want to talk about in the next few days. You may have a new question that is unanswered in the archives, pertaining to a simalar thread that is too old to bring up. What then? Damned if you do and damned if you don't. That is one example.

2. New information about an old problem can breed wonderful new facts.

3. Some of us old timers use different wording and acronyms from what is in the archives. I pesonally have searched for things and not found them due to the wording and terminology (and slang) being the norm. The use of the term "Pumpkin" would be expressed by me as either the Differential housing or rear transfer case. I know, I am older but to look for info that way does not yield the results I want. We called all LSD's in the old days, Posi-trak. LSD was acid back then. Still is I think...

Personally, I saw a negative vibe with Nissan sluts' post (first one) then the usual "policing and correction" and really, in the spirit of "chat", I find it somewhat distasteful but this post will probably be distasteful to others as well.

It is better to say nothing than to say negative things. (IMHO) The Moderators are here for the corrections. All forums change from time to time. Think how much information could be lost if someone does a search, does not find the right answer, screws something up due to the knowledge being "stale" and lost the oppurtunity to share?

I for one was amazed that out of 7 shops I went to to see what their answer was for PSF, they did not bring out the Dextron. Regular old PSF was served.

Just spouting my mouth some..

S14 joe, Glad for you to finally have a 240SX and be excited about it. Nissan Slut, no offence, just an observance. I mean no Ill will, seriously.

The above points are points to ponder.

don't worry Nissan slut, I guess you can't understand how someone feels when they slave at work to get something that been on their minds for a long time.Don't be a hater. Anyways I did search and found the post about the detailing wheel so relax yourself,I needed some more ideas.I would like to what your posting that is changing the world that you have to flame. No one put a gun to your head to reply to my thread. If you don't like the topic then move along son.:fawk2:

I think it's safe to say that Bill enjoys writing. :D

Anyway, man, screw the downers, i'm happy for you. I know how i was when i got my car. But just as a reminder, most and if not all of your questions about the 240 can be answered here (http://www.zilvia.net/f/search.php?s=). Remember that and you'll have an enjoyable time here at zilvia.net. With that being said, be safe and enjoy your new ride. ;)

Wow. Not taking ettiquette lessons from someone with a Keg in the avatar? A picture makes that much difference to a person's accredibility? Sorry. I'll change the picture so that one more person will listen to me. I really didn't know that a picture would dissuade people from listening to a MODERATOR with 2900+ posts about HOW TO ACT ON A FORUM.
This thread is locked, and I'd rather not get another reported message with you (Nissan Slut) as the reason.
