I am on a limited budget for my first few upcoming Drift Days. Right now, my main priority is reliability to keep my motor alive (SR20 redtop). I am running twin electric fans, blacktop water pump, aluminum two core radiator, clutch fan w/ shroud, no t-stat and distilled water with a wetter additive. I can't afford to buy an oil cooler and an oil pan, so I have to settle on one. Either a Circuit sports cooler setup, or a Moroso 4.75 qt oil pan. So for the time being, which one do you guys think I should go with? Eventually I will have both, but in the meantime, I need to make an educated decision
Moroso 4.75 qt Oil Pan with baffles
OR
Circuit Sports (cheesy) Oil Cooler
????
Get the oil pan it has trap doors to keep the oil under the pickup when you are sliding sideways.I put one on my car and love it.But I am also putting in a cooler system because I road race.Pan first definatly

how about you skip the drift days and save up to buy the parts, you obviously have money to burn for even registration (100+ dollars) and tires 200+

before you start posting links to crap you might want to make sure they fit the car you or he is going to put it on.

I doubt a company that started in 1968 is crap.
I'm showing you an example that you can buy a simple oil cooler for under $100. The link I sent I haven't looked at which adapter it comes with, but I know they do have different adapter that will work. S13 SR is 3/4" -16 fitting if I remember right

Go with the bigger oil pan, I'm using a GReddy... The extra oil wouldn't hurt also the GReddy oil pan has cooling fins, like it makes much of a difference. I don't see the use of an oil cooler unless your really hitting high oil temps. I don't get it, kids swap in a SR and they want to start drifting. Expensive sport to begin with, make sure you have enough $$$.

I would hardly call greddys "fins" cooling fins. I personally feel they are aesthetic at most.

If you like your oil pan to clear your windage tray the way it should, dont get the ISIS oil pan. Get a Moroso.

moroso pan ftw! that way if you bottom out it will just dent instead of crack like greddy or other cast oil pans, from what I heard. I used the search button hahahaha

I appreciate the input guys, thank you! And please don't tell me the bs of its an expensive sport. Yes, I am fully aware of that. Not including tires, I allotted myself an extra 1000 to go into basic maintenance, as well as an alignment and corner balance from Alex P. A high oil temp has never been a problem with my car, everything is just preventive maintenance.

I say go with a oil pan moroso. If you have a sr, and sliding around, the death of sr's is oil starvation. bigger oil pan more oil, so when sliding around your not starven your motor. (Im sure u know this already) just my 2 cent's
