I have a 95 S14 and its leaking alot of fuel on the ground when the car is running. Its a constant stream. Its to dark for me to work on car now and trouble shoot.... The car has 200K for miles.. 2 weeks ago, I dropped my subframe to replace sub-frame bushings.

Could be a cracked fuel line???
Fuel pump issues?
Puncture gas tank?

1. see giant puddle of fuel on ground

2. look directly above and see where fuel leaked from

3. fix leak

4. light match in celebration

deductive reasoning would tell us that since it didn't leak before the subframe work, then you punctured something when you dropped it.

I never dropped the fuel tank... Im pretty sure there is NOT a puncture in my tank.

Will, check tommorow

You probably punctured the hoses..... easy replacement....

Thats what I am hoping for, cause I am stuck in LA

Drove down to LA from SF on thursday, the car sat for 4 days. When I drove it last night, there was a strong smell of gas. Pull over and there is a nice stream of fuel dripping of the bottom of the tank.

Now, that I jack the car up and trouble shoot I cannot get it to leak or find any leaks. No cracked fuel lines.

Any ideas?

OH MAN that sucks..... Truthfully if its spewing out of the car like that, its unlikely the tank.... most likely those old ass hoses in the back....

have you checked from the top ,where you can access the fuel pump.. check those lines .Mine were leaking from there

My leak was from the top fuel pump cover. It was the gasket. Not sure if this helps

Ive searched high and low to see what is leaking. Could not find any leak.

Drove from LA to SF with no problems!

What do you mean "around the tank"????

The o-ring by the fuel pump??

Could be... yeah on a full tank of gas. that tank is pressurized....

So its not leaking anymore? Maybe the lines were just leaking but when the gas hit them, it caused the rubber to swell up and fill the leak.

the o-ring on the fuel pump cover and there is another o-ring where the filler neck meets the tank.

it probably is one of those if the problem is now gone after driving for a while. if you fill up your tank all the way i bet it will happen again.
