View Full Version : What is this tab on distributor?

This is on my '90 240sx. The motor was replaced with a rebuilt stock unit by the previous owner. There are no loose connectors from the wiring harness in the area (atleast that I can see).
Could this distributor be from another year car? Does anyone know what this connects to or what it does?

my friend grounded it and his car ran like shit.
all the KA distributors i've seen has this tab not connected to anything. it is nothing. look in the fsm.

Great. My guess is that this particular distributor is probably used for multiple applications. I appreciate the help, thanks alot.
