knocking coming from under my s13

whenever i go over a bump in the road or turn, something under my car is making a knocking sound. like when i drive, i can feel it under my feet. i figured one of the hangers on my exhaust came loose, but there all good.

anyone else have this problem? do you know what it is?

Is your driveshaft securely in its spinning bearing hangar or whatever it is? it might flex up and knock the underbody. Come to think of it my car doesnt have the top half of the loop on it anyways haha.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

When we put the Apexi N1 catback exhaust on my buddies coupe, it's 3" it was hitting the seatbelt bolt. We ended up cutting the bolt shorter and bam fixed problem.

This could be a bunch of different things. Best bet is to get it up on jackstands, get under it and start shaking things that move (ie. driveshaft, exhaust).

Make sure your transmission and engine mounts aren't shot and that everything which should be tight is.
