Searched around and im pretty sure that in order to install an aluminum drive shaft for a KA tranny, you have to remove the dust collar ? My question is if i remove this, are there any possible problems that i could have ? thanks

If you are using a decent input shaft and proper DS length. It should slide/ride into the place the dust collar sits.

Yes you take it off. The upgraded input shaft on most aftermarket driveshafts replaces it.
