i just had a weird idea earlier today of having newspaper in the engine compartment...could you some how lay down newspaper in there and clear coat over it or paper mache or something? if someone knows if this has been done or has any clue of how it could be done, i think it would be kinda neat, ha.

Why don't you try it out on a piece of scrap body part?

sounds like a bad idea and a fire hazard.
use fiberglass if you want to do anything like that.

that would be nifty.. but i unno if id do it in the engine bay. and clear wont hold it down. it would be cool if done on trim peices inside i think. cool idea for sure:] theres a thread somewere on here i think about how to get paper to stick to trim peices i beleive. i ment to do it to some spare things but i lost the thread.

Atleast use a Titty mag, how boring would a news paper engine be and it was the Stock market section.

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a39/tavo_80816/DSC05666.jpg I think it'd look nice on a hood if it was black and white print with no colors with a gloss finish.
at least class it up and use benji's.

intriguing but i have my doubts about how it would good it would actually look.
either way it would also be hard to get it to stick. you might be able to do it with resin and then sand and polish the resin(the liquid you use in fiberglassing).

try putting gasoline all over your engine pay and painting your car with a match. let us know how that works out for you.

You have a mom/girlfriend?!?!?
I guess that's how you guys get it done in Utah huh?
Back on topic: This idea is lame, but you're probably gonna do it anyways, so go ahead and eff up your bay with fiberglass, or however you decide to do it. Hope you have fun being gay.:fruit:

You should put fabric on your hood, and have a news paper engine bay. That would be so fckng funny when the fabric hood guy pops his hood, and there's news paper everywhere lol

Hey now, I wasn't hatin' on all your wives. Congrats on that, I guess.
I was just wonderin' about your mom/girlfriend you were talking about earlier. I mean, I love my mom and everything, but I wouldn't go as far as calling her my, "slash girlfriend". But hey, your from Utah, and I'm not. Have fun.

paper mache should work with clear epoxy. Shouldn't burn. Problem is that in time it will separate from the metal because the paper shrink and expand more then the metal. Worth a shot. Try it.

I think it will look like the walls of a subway sandwhich shop, then you could paint your valve cover to look like a sub sandwhich, and we could call you Jerod.
Jk, post some pics of what your talking about.
