Which car would get hassled more by cops? S14 vs SC300/SC400

vs

a black soarer, vertex kitted, decently aggressive wheels, FMIC (possibly blacked out)

which is less likely to be pulled and hassled. . .

i just got pulled last week in irvine for "exhaust" by a dick cop and reffed for engine swap with my s14 so i'm just wondering what other decent alternatives there are :confused:

My stock SC300 get me stopped more versus my completely illegal/loud/fast black S14 with 15% tint.

But then again I have Alabama tags on the S14 and PA tags on the SC...

I usually have to drive slower than traffic to dodge potholes. Doesn't matter how you drive, the more your car stands out the more likely you are to get stopped.

Paint your car a bland color like taupe or lavender with flowers.

I'd wager the 240.
Lot of cops seem to be on the look out for 240's.
One of the cops who pulled me over in my stock looking s14 was asking if I had an RB or blacktop, lol.
This was in Los Angeles.

I'd just keep whatever I drive stock looking if I lived in Irvine.
The police are no less than zealots when it comes to modified cars
SC's are just less obvious, but are no means a guarantee.

Best thing would be just to move out of the OC period.
It's just a matter of time before you get busted for something there.
Cops in LA are generally more laid back.

Depends how you look really.. dont murder tint the windows, always keep a clean cut and smile/drive with confidence.. If your slouching gangster lean in your seat you will get pulled over in any car pretty much.

But keep the car civil, dont be gangster slamming your car stuper negative camber etc and you will be alright.

Depending on your ethnicity, id take taht into consideration as well.. cops may not be racist, but they do stereotype.

totally agree with what was said earlier: if blacked out, def the soarer with the blue and red lights behind it. Otherwise I'm pretty sure that police officers have a vendetta against 240s :cops:

Either way, as long as people dont reenact FastandFurious around town, I'm pretty sure either would be ok as long as they dont shoot flames or backfire around town lolz

I got pulled over more in my wrx more than my rx7.

Reason:
My WRX is noticeably lowered, have one of those huge ass exhaust, and kinda loud.

Rx7 it was clean, drop is not an insane drop, RB exhaust that looks closest to stock and not loud! Stock body and everything.

I haven't been stopped yet with my s14 and it's lowered with a loouudd exhaust (no cat, straight pipe, and a single straight through muffler)... I drive the speed limit though and as quietly as possible... I also look like a geek/nerd with my glasses on so that may help..

Just like everyone else said don't make your car outrageous just keep it clean and you should be alright. Also really depends on how you look too, my dad has been driving my S14 around and he says cops don't give him any trouble. I drive it like a grandma and i get pulled all the time, sometimes just to check my license.

+1 i think cop usually use the exhaust to determine if it is worth their time to pull you over and harass you. my friend's stock evo got pull over many times just to check.

It's not the car you drive... it's the communist tree-hugging liberal save-the-panda state you live in. you can drive anything from the stereotypical 4x4 on 52 in tires, or a slammed 240 with unrestricted 3 in exhaust fed from an "illegal imported motor", gold wheels, huge frontmount and a white roll cage visible through clear windows, a single seat, no interior, tinted tails, a pillar gauges sweeping like a techno rave, and stickers on the rear window and not have a single problem here. Im sorry, but if every single one of my performance parts says not legal for highway use in Cali, then frankly, I would never live in such a fucked up communist state.

To stay on topic, i'd say the sc300 would stand a better chance, simply because you could keep the lexus badges, some CLEAN 2.5 inch mufflers that dont stick out like a sore thumb and arent obnoxiously loud, and a flat black intercooler would hurt either...

I've never been pulled for anything other than speeding in Maryland, despite having heard stories to the contrary. I'm reasonably certain I could roll down I-270 in the Shagohod and not catch any shit.
