Hey Guys,

I just wanted to make a Thread of the Best M.M.A. Fighter.
I know there's a lot of people who agree and disagree.
The 31 year old Russian Fedor is one of the greatest fighters to live. His current MMA record is 28-1 with one no contest. Over 50% of his 28 wins come from submissions with 14 in total. He also has 6 (T)KO’s and the other 7 fights were decided by decision. His only loss was many years ago back in the year 2000 against Tsuyoshi Kohsaka (http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/fightfinder.asp?FighterID=190). The fight lasted a whole 17 seconds with Kohsaka getting the (T)KO due to a cut.

I think fedor is amazing from what I've watched of him, but it's a damn shame he's caught up in pacquiao/mayweather marketing bullshit for him not to come to stateside UFC mma to fight the real pool of challengers who could possibly beat him.

My thoughts on Fedor (you may agree or disagree, I'm not anexpert by any means):

His prowess (not necessarily style, technique, etc.) is comparable to The Spider.

Lesner is not afraid of him, but should be.

Dana White is afraid of him, because he poses a huge threat to White's "Lesner is the ultimate heavy weight" mentality.

Lesner was a huge investment and that almost toppled with the loss to Mir...imagine what repeated losses to Emelianeko would do.

Emelianeko is not a poster-child for MMA...not ripped, not tanned, not pretty...not WWF enough.

Lesner isn't well liked...MF'in the crowd? This isn't that circus you used to work for.

Emelianeko gives a lot back to his people.

If this was Rocky IV...I'd route for Drago.

This fight is a long way off, if it ever happens.

i am definitely one to argue that until fedor fights in the UFC, he is NOT the number 1 heavyweight of the world...come to terms with yourself...ufc is king and when youre not the champ of the king of promotions with the highest aggregate of talent.....well, youre no king, youre the last emperor of an inferior landscape of fighters...simple......

Danas point is that its crazy to call Fedor p4p at this point because he hasnt fought anyone relevant since his pride days. Sylvia and Arlovski were "good" heavyweights when the UFC heavyweight division sucked, which is what Dana said, and what Randy said too. Randy came back to prove the point that the UFC HW division sucked so bad that he can come out of retirement and kick the champs ass....which is what he did.

Common man, Rogers gave Fedor a run for his money yet Rogers got destroyed against Overeem, and look at Overeems record.

Matt Lindland gave Fedor a good fight and Lindland is a fucking middleweight, who got screwed by the UFC but thats a different story.

I do agree that the true p4p at this point is Anderson Silva. Silva has made every single one of his opponents in the UFC look like chumps, except MAYBE Dan Henderson and MAYBE Travis Lutter.

Now Fedor has a fight against Werdum, Who went 2-2 in the UFC, and got his ass knocked out into unemployment by Cigano.

The fact of the matter is, just about anyone whose anyone in the hw division is in the UFC now. If Fedor wants to prove that he really is still the "last emperor" then he should get involved in the contract discussion and get Vadims hand out of his ass.
