heres my story...

I ordered a RB25 front clip from cameron at night7racing. He is a really nice young guy starting a business so i decide to give him a chance. I pay 3750 bucks in full by bank transfer.. That was over 3 months ago, when he said it would take 4-6 weeks. When I called him about 4 weeks ago he told me that they made a mistake and sent me a RB20 instead so they had to recall the clip and it would take about 2 more weeks to get the RB25 that I ordered to me.. I try to give him the benefit of the doubt. For the past 2 weeks Ive been trying to contact this guy again, but he wont answer his phone, emails, or if he ever comes on AIM and i message him, he signs off.. Ive been waiting so damn long I want my money back and Im ordering from someone else.. What can I do to get my money back? :mad:

I too have purchased a clip from Cameron and he gave my the same BS story that an RB20 clip was sent to me as well. Now Cameron can't be contacted at all. I hope it's because he is in jail.

What's so weird about it? Dude screwed over TONS of forum members out of a LOT of money. I've been out of the 240 scene since then, was just curious if anyone knew of anything that ever happened...

Actually Cameron got fucked over as well by his supplier. Kid didn't have the funds to pay back people and lacked the maturity to deal with it in a professional manner.

He stopped communicating with a lot of people in the community once everyone was endlessly talking shit, with reason obviously. He simply didn't have any control after what had happened.

If you look at the date and roughly when this shit went down was the same time that the 240sx scene started hitting mainstream. Drifting started picking up and folks started doing all kinds of swap. There were not a whole lot of "reputable" shops yet and the few ones charge you with their reputation fee. This kid was one of those guys that was all over the forum and seemed trustworthy. He took care of guys and came thru in numerous occasions. Then shit went down hill after roughly 8 months to a year...

I see. i didnt even think of that let alone know lol i came back to the states in 04 and didnt know much about the drift scene in America. this was just a really sad situation then..

i was at unstable hybrids alot around that time period. i had an rb20 swap in progress that never got finished. . . i ended up leaving with an AE86 and a lot of parts instead of my 240 i brought there.

there was an rb25 swap that a guy from new york had in progress. . . i think if i remember correctly he had about $10k invested with them, and i'm pretty sure that car never left in running condition. the first motor they installed had almost no compression in two cylinders and a blown turbo, and i think they were waiting on the second one to get there when they went belly up.

my good friend cole lost about $4k because jason wouldnt ever return any of his phone calls after he moved everything out of the shop and to his house. . . we even tried going to jason's house. he was home, but wouldn't answer the door. then after cole sued him (and lost, because jason was protected by his incorporation status) he had the audacity to tell cole face to face "if you'd have just called me i'd have given you the swap and refunded your install fee you paid." yea right.

and you have to think, that was the first shop stateside to do a rb swap back in 2000.

there were a lot of people put in a bad situation by the collapse of that business as well. jason made a lot of enemies very quickly. the problem is that if you don't have a ton of money in the bank to make up for shipping mistakes, bad engines that you have no control over quality on because they came from overseas,
