Ok everyone, I know this "State Ref topic" has been covered a bazzillion times and what not but all the information that I found about people getting a ref ticket is outdated already. You know california is constantly changing their fucking emission laws, so the questions is : Has anyone gotten a reft ticket recently? You know its already 2010 and all the information for the ref tickets are from 08' and older. Of course, like many of you I have an SR20 motor and I know that going to the REF is not advisable, but whats going to happen? I get the fine and pay it without showing proof that I went to a Ref? I haven't got the actual BILL for the ticket yet, but Im sure someone on this Forum has, so what happend? I would really love to know, and I'm sure as you are reading this, some is getting a ref ticket lol!:smash:

1 800 622 7733 (California Referee)

I call them all the time and ask stupid questions, the phone lines are quite open. They'll tell you everything.
I called asking how to BAR cars with engines, blah blah. CALL THEM TO GET THE MOST UP TO DATE ANSWERS.

You're welcome in advance.

LOL thank you, I know the number, its in the back of my ticket. My answer required someone who is in the same boat as me. I havent got my Fine yet, but Im sure someone else here is further along the process that I'm in. So IF ANYONE is going thru this bullshit, how are you getting it resolved?????

Why don't you try calling them and finding out for yourself what they say? Instead of waiting for someone on the forums. BAR will more than likely have your answers up to date.

Well I'd rather wait for someones experience first, granted that I know that the sr is illegal so I just want someones else's story thanks

I have a court date coming up for my Ref, i'm gonna try to get mine to pass, stock KA btw, but thats besides the point to your inquiry.

The bail fee for mine was around $800. You can pay that and you'll be okay, but it doesn't stop you from getting another one. Once you get the second one, its doubled, and then the third, I heard you can't pay, and shit goes down.

Not much info, but hope it helps.

Call the clerk at the court, he/she can tell you how much your fine is without fixing it. Pay and forget about it. I had a fine two years ago or so and that was about $450 or so.
