Bought wheels for my car. They were advertised as -5 offset. however since the seller didnt not clean the etched part of the inside wheel were it list the offset the - was actually a 2, thus making it +25. It wasnt obvious at first but when i cleaned the offset etch/engraved area i noticed that the other wheel was easier to see. so i cleaned off the other wheel and noticed that the - was actually the bottom part of the 2. I do not want to run spacers as i waited patienty to find a decent set of wheels with low offsets but what would you guys do?

well if you want wheels with low offset, and since +25 is not what you are looking for why dont you contact the seller and tell him he advertised the wrong offset wheels and tell him politely that you would like your money back? but at the same time it is your fault for failing to notice the difference of -5 and +25

I would ask the seller to take them back. If that wasnt an option, Id insist they refund the difference in value between what you thought you were buying and what you received. If, now knowing them to be +25, you couldnt re-sell them for the same price you bought them for, you should get the difference. If the seller wouldnt at least do that, id prepare for battle.

definately what i would do, lower offset wheels are more valuable, especially around here..

seems kind of hard to mistake a "2" for a "-" but i guess its possible...

^Probably a dish wheel, in which case he was expecting bigger lip.
Id get my money back.

Not hating on spacers but not something i want to run. This defeated the purpose of me waiting for some good sized wheels. I planned the purchase of the wheels without running them. Therefore my efforts of looking at all the pages in the wheel fitment thread and waiting for the right offsets with my 50mm over in my as well was a waste. Plus i paid for -5 and got 25. Still waiting on the seller not trying to throw things out of porportion.

sucks bro, hope you can get your money back from the seller. Kinda hard IMHO to mistake a "2" for a "-" as well.

Kinda off topic, sorry, but were these 11" wide wheels?
