Okay everyone, I got the movie uploaded finally. I was hesitant at first, because there are alot of areas that I needed to improve apon.
A few things I need to clear up:
-First, I must apologize for the 2nd music selection. It is an extremely old song, but it was what I had to work with.
-Second, The beginning of the video is a little slow paced, but it picks up after the first 2minutes or so.
-Third, you can tell that the "racing" was done at an extremely low speed. I thought when I filmed it that I could speed up the footage, but turns out that I couldn't , so you gotta bear with me on that one, this is just my first crack at this, so I'm still learning.
-And finally, just remember, no matter how corny it is, it's still just a movie, and something that I came up with on a whim. Just having fun with me and the boys. Have fun!
and without further ado, I give you:

lmao!!! omg that was hilarious.. especially when the guy in the s14 went mad on the side of the street!
overall.. great editing!
but yea.. if you can speed up the race a bit, that would be tight
but once again, great job david.. make some more! :D

Ok, the story was good, and the scene transitions were good, but
the movie kinda sucked. I mean, the driving seemed kinda slooow.
No sense of fast speeds.
I wanted to see burnouts, some drifting (ebrake even since its an
FWD) and what's up with the hazard flashing with the S14 race, and
then shooting past the S14? Is it me or was that like the classic
tell-tale signs of a ricer?
And yea, the race with the 240 was kinda slow paced.
At a first attempt, I'd say you did a good job, but I want SPEED! :)
Why not build an in-car camera mount like I did. It's not that hard.
BTW, Street racing is NOT COOL. Keep it on the tracks! :)

LOL nice work for a first attempt, I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future
Well.....other than the first half of the movie being nothing but repeated footage of an accord, and the race being filmed at 15mph, its not too bad...
Bad parking job also gets you minus 10 points.

d00d that was cool as he11. I would like to do something like that myself. Very nicely done for a first attempt. I agree with the above opinions (i.e. slow race and such) but very nice first film.
My suggestion is to get a truck and stand in the back with a mount and you can get drive by shots and such to get a better perspective of speed. Also try to get the in car camera mounts to get some in car shots.
Another suggestion (not that you asked) is to get some ground up shots of the cars passing by.

Damn! Tough crowd!
As for the hazard flashing, it's because after being beaten, he pulls off to the side of the road. Not trying to signify a win.
It was shot from the bed of a truck. A very slow truck.
As for Drifting, the movie was based around the Accord. Not the 240. I am currently working on a drifting movie with my friends AE86. A love story.
and for the bad parking job, come on! he's already pushing 30min for the pizza! would you care?! ha ha
Lighten up fellas, I have no intention of being a director or anything even close. It was just fun to make!

I don't know maybe I'm a push over for amateur video but I liked it. Lots of good suggestions though by the other board members on how to improve it for the next film. Looked like you had fun making it and I had fun watching it so that's what's important bro, enjoy.

lol well he wouldn't have been late if he wasn't racing at 15 mph lol.
Nice vid though, very corny but pretty decent.
Tips (some repeats)
- More upbeat beginning.
- Camera mounts or tripods.
- The obvious faster speeds.
- Steer away from this idea, just cuz its almost the same thing as the Neon SRT short film, just delivered (no pun intended :D) differently
- Where are the girls at, you can add that to the beginning I guess, like have the guy slow down and stare at a girl walking down the street, but I guess you're not gonna be remaking it.
- all i can think of now
For the next video be carefull if its gonna be about drifting.

The video had some style. Of course they guy in the 240sx was a bad actor waving his hand like that. But it was well put and had a funny ending. I almost heard that old daytime applause from like three company everytime something silly happened. Those cars were pretty nice however.

Alright guys, I GET IT. some of you are forgetting that i am aware of these mistakes as I've already mentioned on my first post. I am totally cool with criticism, but like I said, this is just for fun. Don't take it so damn serious.
Of all the boards I've posted this vid on, Zilvia is the most serious about it. I don't think i'll post another video on here. Later.

lol no I think you're taking our comments a little too seriously. I realize you know all the mistakes. In the vids I made I am aware of a few mistakes (although my vids are not real films, just highlight shows I guess).
Keep posting your vids I loved watching it.

David, I surely did not mean to offend you by talking about that guy waving his fist. The short was great and something to help my 5min. lunch break go by smoother. Keep posting Vato.:aw:

Sorry about being so uptight guys. I got my panties in a wad. I promise the next ones will always show improvement! The 240 in this video will also get a feature of his own. Something to make 240s not look slow like in this video.
Anyone heard of Revenge of the SR20?
