What's the difference between the two on a 9.5 inch wheel? Offset of the wheel is 17
Is it that much of a difference as far as rubbing is concerned? How much wider is a 265 vs 255?
thanks

265 - 255 is 10mm
and unless your tires mount is stupidly offset - it mean an extra 5mm per side.

it also depends on the brand. i went from michelin pilots in a 265/35/18 to a continental the same size and i have a little fender rubbing. you will need to pull the rear fenders some either way.

Actually it's an extra 5 mm per side independent of anything else!

10mm = .39"
5mm = .196" increase/decrease each 'side'
however, theyll be taller so that might concern you.
so 255/35 has a sidewall of about 3.5" while
265/35 has a sidewall of 3.65". doesnt sound like much to me
but perhaps something you should consider? youll probably be alright though
im jus tryin to cover all aspects
