I just connected mine to my car. Before i did i disconnected the -terminal, them took the stock ecu out, put the new one in, cxonnected the FC commander, and nothing. Yes i connected the -terminal back on.

No letters come up or anything, im guessing maybe their just set really low. But since i cant see anything, idk how i can reset it. Bought it off a member here, who has trying to help me to the fullest. But nothing seems to work. Car wont start either, just cranks. Im guessin its cuz he had 740cc inj and lighting maf.

Anyone know any other way of reseting it? Ive searched and the only way seems to be by reseting it through the commader, but like i said, cant see jack ish.

If anyone in socal has a ECR33 rb25det motor, and wouldnt mind driving to corona, of course id buy you lunch or gas lol, so i can test it out with your commander or the ecu o your car, please let me know. Thanks

You sure its the right model for the right engine?

yea if its for an rb25.. find out what series it is for and what series your motor is. Had a friend witha similar problem (stock ecus for wrong series rb)

Well when i bought the car, the previous owner had it listed as a ECR33 motor, and the box for the PFC is the same model.

Everytime i turn the ign. on, i here a click noise coming from the ecu. im looking on skylineaustrailia to try and see if theres a way to bring the contrast back.

I am not an RB guy but i would look at the stock ecu and cross reference that with which model Power FC you should be using.

WEll i kinda did that. Pin wise, they all match up. But other then that, idk what else to look for, imma see if i can compare model numbers or something right now

Ground it how? I havent done anything to it besides just hooking it up to the harness

If it was the wrong ECU for the motor the commander would still show "Apexi" it just wouldn't go anywhere after that, pretty much just stay frozen on that screen.

Does it even light up?

It doesnt light up or anything, not evern a hint of light. The owner of it before though says it works, which is whyy he has been trying to help me out, but i dont see anything changing

make sure all the wires are pushed in correctly into the ECU plug.

Even if it was the wrong PFC the commander would light up and show the Apexi sign.

Double check your connections. Triple check them. Go through every single wire.

Thing is though, when i hook up the stock ecu, it turns on, the car that is, so im starting to think it just might be the pfc

might just be that its a dead power fc...simple as that. it work one day then lets say during shipping it just decided to die. only other way to really make sure it indeed does work would be to have someone else has with the same engine as you and hook it up with theirs and see if it turns on. if you do find someone, im sure you wouldn't actually turn the engine over since that power fc isn't tuned for the engine, but you can at least see if it powers up.

I hope this is not the case. Ugh. Im hopiing someone in socal will have the same motor and allow me to. But as you can see, no one from here has offered so im left sol

only other thing i can think of would be to manually simulate a power on condition. meaning that you provide the ecu the proper 12v's and grounds.

Winner.

R33 Series 1 & R33 Series 2 use different ECU :)

Ecu is suppose to be for a s1 and my motor is a s1 as well

though the S1 and S2 use different ecus, you should still be able to use an S1 ecu on an S2 and vice versa. And after reading everything sounds like a dead FC. Because the PFC would power on regardless as long as the connectors plug in soundly.

Check the pins in the connectors and also check the pin out on your harness to see if it is wired properly. So many people do hack jobs on harnesses then pass it off to the person to deal with. My SR was like that.

Worse comes to worse call APexi and see what they can do. I should be getting my PFC next week or so. And I have the exact same S1 motor.

P.S- Try nico forums RB section. Those guys are always great help. As well as SAU.

Ok only thing i can think of is maybe the avcr is wat is not allowing it to turn on?
