Odd noises?

Hello,I have a zenki s14 sr20det in my 180sx. When I start the engine,I hear a rattling noise,it sounds like it could b coming from the head,it wont do it everytime I start it, but it does it most of the time. It never makes the sound again,only during start up!

When I turn the engine off,I hear a whistling sound,kinda like a teapot,could that b a leak in the intercooler plumbing? I always let it idle for a few min before turning it off,I noticed if it idles long enough, it wont whistle! I dnt hav a boost gauge,turbo timer,and no BOV.
Any ideas u may have will b bettr than none.

Remove your timing chain guides. That might not be it but you should anyway. That's usually the #1 "rattle from the head" problem.

I thought the KA was the only one to have that prob,LAME LOL,okay cool,thats gotta be it,it makes sense. Thanks man!
