i have heard that the rb26 valve covers on the rb25 help the oil flow better to the valves??is this a myth or maybe some truth to it??
Where in the world did you hear that from?

Myth, valve cover have absolutely nothing to do with oil lubrication or dispersion. All it does is keep the oil in the head.

well as with s15 sr ones, i have heard also that upgradeding to them is the same, because it moves oil to the back or something......idk? i have read it on some forum and have heard it from a buddy before

alot of guys with s13 red top sr's get modified valve covers from the s14/s15 sr and by modified i meand cut and welded with the stock one.
the reason they do this is because the overall shape of the valve cover is different as well as the baffling on the inside which helps keep the oil in the head a little bit longer to keep this nice and lubed up.
as far as the rb26 vs rb25 the valve covers and baffling are very similar and there isnt much if anything to be gained by putting the rb26 one on the rb25
as for the sr conversion i know that ma motorsports will do the work but youve usually gotta bring them one of each so they can cut and weld them to work properly

SR baffle issue is completely different. S13 have a tendency to blow oil out the T.
Oil related issue that I remember reading about RB26 head is how oil likes to collect on the back/rear of the head and not let it drain back down to the oil pan (cant remember what years RB26, might just be the 32s). Folks would mod the back of the head by adding a drain back down to the block.

yeah a lot of 26 guys will put restrictors in the head because of that. its not that much of a problem with the 25s because they use hydraulic lifters and it doesnt really hurt anything whereas the 26s run a solid lifter setup.

As mentioned above the differences between the valve covers for oil purposes is minimal and is basically concerning with the PCV/Crank case ventilation setup. The RB26 has internal baffles and screens that keeps less blow-by oil excaping back into the air system; as the RB25 as open ports that free flows.
The oiling issues with the oil pooling in the back of the head is mainly discussed among high RPM and high flowing oil pump setup RB's (RB25, RB26, etc.) A rear drain line is than fitted to the rear of the cylinder head allowing for an additional oil drain to the sump. What the issue is that the rear oil returns in the head's casting tends to drain rather slowly when an engine is equipped with a JUN, HKS, Tomei style oil pump which increases flow at higher RPM and when a car is tracked for long durations of time the over flowing of oil to the head does drain back fast enough to the sump... crazy enough would leave your oil pick up searching for any addtional oil as it slowly is coming back from the head. Then you guess it, boom there goes your engine. Alot of that is yet to be proven to be rule of thumb as Nissan didn't do any of these mods to their GT500 series motors, yet those that were really in compition went with a dry sump setup anyways, eliminating any of this talk of oil issues.
