During a track day my ecu died out on me and im assuming my passenger kicked it. Well anyway we couldnt figure out what the problem was and the tech guy comes and finds out that my fuel pump is not triggered from my ecu. Something caused it to short my fuel pump in my ecu.

Got the ecu fixed up by rerouting a new line to the fuel pump over the burnt area in the ecu so the ecu can turn on the fuel pump and everytime I turned on ignition , I can hear my fuel pump prime and then it would burn out the safty 5amp fuse, but after this happens the engine fires right up until the battery is disc. then same procedure inorder for it to start.

Then thought maybe the wired got mess up somewhere so then I had a friend that does only 240 completely teared down my engine harness and rewired everything back up, and after it was installed it still had the same symtom of burning out the safty fuse to the fuel pump in my ecu.

As of now, I completely dont know what to do.

Can somehow point me out to the right direction or anything.

Thanks

The wiring was just plain shitty. I know someone just keeps popping the fuse for the fuel pump on track and he just carries spare fuses. Best way is to do a relay mod which is more reliable and beneficial if your running aftermarket fuel pumps. Most aftermarket pumps like higher Voltage as it performs better. If you measure your the voltage on the pump you'll probably only getting 11.0 - 11.8 volts. If you can do up to 14v the better. Lookup fuel pump re-wire mod.

My engine starts fine after it pops the first fuse, the problem is why it keeps shorting the fuse.

Im going to check my fuel pump wiring and make sure nothing is getting short somewhere inside.

Thanks
