Because im a noob i didnt know this thread belonged here so....

Ive owned my 240 close to 4 years, most of which I spent messing around not knowing what my car was. Ive recently started tinkering and adding a few things, but its time to get serious and add some performance to this car.

The facts you should know is this car is getting repainted the same color it is, just to get a new car look and get rid of dings and scratches.

The first thing getting done is a manual transmition swap probably this coming Thursday, at a place called tarmac, which to my understanding is reputable, but has had problems in the past.

This car will stay stock KA, I believe the engines are very efficient, and i haven't found proof anywhere that SR's and RB's will always out perform, so KA it is.

SO! Any input about performance parts, the order in which i get what, good deals, good mechanics, color scheme (on top of maroon) would be great. Thanks in advance, Mike.

PS: to elaborate, without causing a flame war, i wish to find out what everyone likes in terms of performance parts, ie greddy aem etc.

ermmm... if the shop has had problems in the past you should find one that hasn't. or just do it yourself. its pretty damn easy lol

Sorry, we dont spoon feed noobs in here...best way for you to learn is look around the forum and see what guys are doing to their cars. Figure out what your priorities would be and build up on it.

they fired the guy causing the problems years ago, i took precautions in-case anything happens. And i just got into building cars, i dont know if i mentioned it, but this is my first build. I have no mechanical experience whatso ever except for a few electrical things, but even then, thats not much.

i got 90k on my ka, idk, is thats boostable?

any specifics or recommendations for parts would be great.

id say find a guide because there kinda all over. but im gunna assume you don't have tools.

he meant searching around forums. if i were you id start useing the serch function. it helps alot. and then you wont get people that have a bug up there ass that day being a dick(ive done it to) and if you have to post a thread about something knew copy and paste the url of the threads you found so people don't tell you your an idiot and go search again.

I appreciate it dude, i mean i have searched around and found cool looking parts, but I really wanted people to back what they have under there hood. I mean those stickers on your window mean something and aren't just for show right?

but i guess this thread was helpful because i didnt even think about differentials.

What he meant was to search zilvia.. that search button up in the right right corner of the toolbar.. google works awesome too.. you haven't said what you wanted power wise or what you wanted to do with car so it could go a million ways.. Oh yeah, when he said he was talking about diff he meant 1 way, 2 way, Zj...but if you don't know what a zj is you can't afford it =)
Figure out what you want to do then just start with the basics.. you really need to do the work yourself or you won't last... unless you have really really deep pockets.
P. to the S., I wouldnt post pics of your registration plate so someone doesn't drive to your house and steal your ride.

Not a build thread.

These are common questions that can be found by searching.
