I know you guys are sick of this one but i am trying to go to class tomorrow and i have been outside trying to figure out why the hell my window wont come up. I recently replaced the window motor (Its the Driver's side) and it was working great for 3 days but then today when i was ready to roll it up, it just got stuck. So after looking around on the web i see that the most common problem besides the motor is the amp. After hearing that 96-98 has the window amp built in the switch i was seeing how do i go about getting this fixed if this sounds like it would be the problem. The passenger window i have noticed has become sluggish also. I tried taking the door panel off and hitting the door but no response. Any help please?

When you say bad switch...do people change out the whole assembly?

yeh the whole piece in your door panel... Get out a multi meter and start poking around and see where to power is and where its not going, but obvs check the fuse first since thats the easiest. as far as your pass side that is going slow thats just the motor.

Where is the fuse for the window located? i have a 97 and i heard that the box is located elsewhere from the 95-96

BUMP! i went to the junkyard today to see if it was possibly the switch and apparently it wasnt cause only the passenger rolled up just like before. I wonder if the window motor was bad that i bought. it was a reman. from Advance Auto..what would be the chances?
