I just bought a Ka24e and got it in the car and so far connected the starter, alternater.. i think i connected the distributar correctly.. its just been so long since i took off the last wirring harness from the old ka24e and some connectors will fit in multiple fittings. and theres a relay that gets really hot when the key is in the on position.. is it a bad relay ? or just me connecting somthing in the wrong area ? I need help guys i just wanna get this car running its been 2 years of sitting and i havent driven her in so long. And so far i have it where it cranks when the key is turned so i know i got that much done lol
Thanks !

i didnt attempt to start it yet i purposely left the spar plug wires off when i turned it over... but its like.. im trying to make sure i have everything connected correctly before i start it. the guy i bought it from said it ran fine before he took it out so i would imagine the timming is fine. I might have to take photos and see what u or other people think or spot anything is in the wrong area. i dont know if i should just plug things in to what ever fits and just try to start her up or what. cuz ive been looking on alldata but its not helping me. i just need some type of photo or diagram of what connector goes where

its not too hard..as the harness goes behind the intake mani 2 plugs will to right(facing the engine) to the emission stuff, then 3 near the injector area, 2 to the iacv, down to the alt., then across to the maf, ignitor, and a few other emission stuff...
as long as you didnt take out the dizzy then the timing should be fine, and your ready to go

the only thing is i took off all the emission things. its not gonna be a road car. but like foinstance.. the tps sensor.. i can seem to find any slack in the harnes to reach for it and im pretty sure its all laying in the right areas. i first had the tps sensor connected . but then couldnt plug in the distributor so then i unplugged the tps and that same connector plugged into the distributor now an yeah so the tps isnt connected the iacv isnt connected for some reason the connector thats laying near it just wont fit on it and the little vacume thing in the back the control solinoids one connects but the other doesnt. its wierd

switch it around you got it backwards, the plugs that you have on the right need to be on the left..its like a puzzle, just keep messin with it and you'll figure it out
