i have a ka-t and i recirculated the bov. is there a certain way to run it? because with my recirculation setup, the tube that the bov is connected to, is pointed towards the intake( basically, the recirculated air is blown back into the intake at the direction of air flow). and in this case, it sounds like i have compressor surge, but really, the recirculated air is forced into the inlet of the turbo. can someone give me more details on this set up?
like how bad it is...
or how it can be sufficiently routed?

it should re-enter the intake stream AFTER the MAF, and pointing in the direction of airflow
the way you've got it could be messing with MAF readings and creating turbulence
at least try to do a 90* entry if you can't angle it toward the turbo

I dont think your BOV is even going off.
What kind do you have?
If its the adjustable type.. You have it too hard.
and you need to loosen it to actually make the BOV go off.
btw... compressor surge isnt THAT bad.
you arent running enough boost to really cause damage on your setup alan.
I was running compressor surge on my setup for 2 yrs til i got my HKS bov.
No problems.
but back to the subject at hand.
Youre over thinking it man.
