OK, so I am at work and bored as hell so i read this whole freakin' story. Holy sh!t!!! That is too much!! I'm hooked now though, what ended up happening? Did that dude get his money back or still underway?

The crook lives about 15 mins from me...that is a scary situation. I think the local news may get involved actually...I think that Keith is on a holding pattern..I sure am praying for him. The crook sounds like troble with a double T. I don't have the kahunas to confront him for Keith...this dude would be dangerous IMHO..Keith is lucky to get out alive IMHO.


At least the cops did not bust the buyer (Keith) for having stolen property. The police were cool IMO....But damn...


Lets keep Keith in our hopes and prayers to get his dough back. Sh!t like that should never happen. I would have smelled a rat right away myself.

It's sad that this guy got scammed so badly.

But, it's hard to have sympathy for him. Why didn't he run a CarFax immediately after seeing the car? Why didn't he insist that the car be taken to a BMW dealership for a proper pre-purchase inspection? A trained BMW tech could've just looked at that car for half a minute and would've started finding problems left and right. The guy trying to sell the car was obivously acting pretty shady, which should've sent up warning flags right from the start.

Seems to me that he was willing to just take the guy's word for it that the car was fine. Obviously, that was a massive mistake! This guy was WAY too trusting. His wife even had to convince him to buy a round-trip plane ticket, "just in case", after he had originally bought a one-way! It's almost as if he had decided to buy the car before he even flew down to Florida!

In my book, a CarFax and a PPI are absolute requirements when you're thinking about buying a car, ANY car, and especially something like an E30 M3.

Thats ****ing insane, When i bought my S13 first thing i did b4 i even went to see it was ask for the VIN number and run the carfax, Came up clean, and im the happy owner of a ****ing Mint condition (both engine and ext) S13
