Today I did my driver side tie rod install. Took my sweet little time did the boot everythings cool...right? wrong.

Once under the boot I realized there's more grease than there was on the other side. There was the usual blue tie rod grease, but it was completely soaked in this brown grease and the rack/peanut rod was COVERED in that stuff. Please tell me there isn't a leaky seal on the rack or if I can just wipe this stuff off and maybe see if it reaccumulates? Any help here is good help once again. Thanks.

lol Rack and Peanut is from the Simpsons when Homer designed a car for his brothers company. It was just on tonight.

No worries.. it's just that ignorance tends to run rampant if it isn't smooshed quickly. I haven't seen that Simpsons episode in YEARS, so forgive me for not getting the joke.
