I have a 1990 sohc 240sx and it hasnt started since the timing chain was changed. I have spark and the timing is set correctly so i tested to see if i had fuel and i only have about 4.8v going to all of my injectors. I have read that it could be a bad ecu so i swapped it with another from a 89 sohc and still no start.
Does the relay in the fuse box nearest the battery labeled EGI supply the power to the injectors,? if so why is it when i test the connector at the relay there is 12v but only 4.8 at the injectors? I know the injectors are ground side controlled by the ecu so i should always have 12v from the red wire on the injector connector when its unplugged with the key on and this is when im getting the 4.8 volts.
The a/c has also been removed and there are 2 connectors where the ac condensor and the ac fan went that arent plugged into anything. 1 which goes directly to the what i believe is the coolant temp sensor on the lower rad hose and another which i didnt trace yet. Could this be a problem?
