Ok I know how to do the swap and I have everything I need. My question is if I keep the auto ecu besides throwing codes is there any negative effect or difference in driving with the auto ecu and auto tps? I'm asking because I know the FSM says that the automatic tps sensor is on and off while the manual transmission tps sensor has a 3 way selector in it.

If you have an s13 you shouldnt throw any codes, if you have a obd2 s14 i dont think itll even run

Yea my sohc ka I have two manual ecus so I'm just going to desolder the chip and solder in a new chip holder (so you can swap them easily) and I got 3 chips so I can tune it that way. It was cheap that way only like 35$ but the eeprom reader/writer was like 100$. But this way I can remove the governor and turn up the rev limiter a little and tune it that way too. I'm going to use an e-manage ultimate on top of it for fine tuning though. What kind of stand alone are you running?

Don't 'think'. You're wrong. Auto ECUs work fine in manual S14s as long as the years match, though you will get a lot of codes and a CEL. Car runs fine though with no drivability issues.
