hey guys, i installed a kaaz 2-way LSD that a shop put in my oem pumpkin, after a couple of weeks of driving i look under at the diff and it was shiny towards the bottom half of the LSD. then a couple days later i look under the car again and to see my fuel tank cover has like a mist spray of diff fluid *smelled it had that tingly smell in your nose* it wasnt really wet just a fine mist/coat. i was thinking could it be maybe when i overheated the diff maybe the fluid expanded and maybe came out of the breather on top of the LSD *i tried to run different profile sized tires a 45 on one side and a 40 on the other, then the diff started to lock and unlock *like clunk clunk clunk* during from a stop then goes away after about 15mph. if anyone has any ideas let me know! but as of now i have never seen a drip on my driveway 8-)

Bump to the top I'm interested in hearing of what this problem could be

It's mandatory to replace tires with a matching size on an drive axle, and typically a matching pair too. Driving on mismatched tire sizes is a horrible idea since the differential has to work harder to maintain constant rotation between the two, as one will always be turning faster in a straight line, forcing the diff to fight the axles. On a locking diff it's even more dangerous and will seriously increase wear.

yea i was really scared for the lsd, but i had to run the different sized tire to get home cause i got a flat :/

Then....switch one of the fronts with the flat...and if the fronts are matchign sizes, then switch the rears to the back...theres really no excuse to it, just laziness...

i dont think i was lazy, i run a staggered wheel set up and my fronts wont work in the rear :(
