Hi, my clutch is broken, I have no pressure from the pedal. My car is stuck in first gear & I can't shift out. I would like to know if a tow-truck driver could potentially damage my tranny / clutch by dragging the car onto his truck bed. Also, would I damage my transmission if I ripped the shifter out of first gear even though it's stuck? Thanks for the help.

your clutch slave is out possibly. the tow truck will damage your tranny. you can try to pull out of gear. i wouldnt know if it would cause it to be damage.

try and rock the car back and forth while pulling the shifter into neutral, make sure the ebrake is off too, It might be on and putting a load on the tranny making it hard to get out.

hahaha...

its just a clutch fluid leak, most likely the slave...check it out, fix it, the end

tow truck would probably damage your car...i had the same problem on my car...i replased my clutch master cylinder and i bled it out and it works perfect now...it will only colst you about 50 bucks tops if you do it yourself and its pretty easy...autozone pats though...

does the clutch pedal not return? it cuold be that the pedal's fork or whatever is broken, you might want to actually look at the clutch itself, it probably isn't cause that would not explain why the clutch won't come out of gear.

ur slave is damaged. rock the car back n forth and have sum 1 pop it out of gear. yes the tow truck will f*** it up. just bleed and it will be back to normal. good luck

Thanks for the help, I was able to get the car in neutral + have it towed to a shop nearby. It seems as though the clutch fork went out and my slave cylinder fluid is also really low.

^is that what they told you? I have never actually seen a fork break. The fork pivot is more prone to breaking I think.

Now would be a good time to get a SS clutch line and bypass the stock dampner if you havent already... SPL sells them for like $20

i bypassed the camper by simply bending my stock line =] it works great!
