Doing a SR20 can I remove the carcoal canister and thet hardline that runs sum were under the car?

yup
you can take out the aiv valve too (attached to the turbo side of the valve cover)

The hard line that runs to the charcoal canister is there to let fumes from the gas tank feed into the canister. You should keep at least a portion of the hardline. I bent mine underneath the brake booster and up next to the clutch master. You wanna make sure it's higher than the gas tank or it'll leak gas. Also just a thing to consider, it'll leak gas if you ever flip the car.

The hardline runs to a section of hose on the lower edge of the firewall. You can remove it there and leave it to vent.
We've discussed this for 20years now.
