I have some SPL steering spacers I was thinking about using but have heard about issues with not enough threading on z32 inner tie rods.
Has anybody had an issue with this? Do you HAVE to use the locking plate for these?
I'd hate to have to ditch my perfectly fine z32 rods for the z33 TEIN ones.... just moar moneyzzz

Just use the spacers and put blue loctite on the tie rod threads. That way you don't have to use the locking plate.
That's what SPL recommends and I dailyed my car like that for over a year. Zero problems.

SPL recommends using the lock plates as well as thread lock.
I just checked the spacers on the threads of my old s14 rods I had laying around. If the z32 inner rod threads are the same length as the s14 ones I don't see how someone could think there is a problem with not enough threads... there seem to be plenty.
Kuah just sent me an email explaining how the Tein z33 inner rods have more thread engagement and that is the only reason why he suggests using the spacers with them but the z32 rods have been used in the past with no issues.
