View Full Version : Will S14 TopHat RB25 mounts work in an S13?

Well I am currently in negotiating a deal for an RB25DET in a S14. He will include everything as well as the driveshaft and all the wiring. Will these bolt up and what do I need to do to the wiring harness to make it work for the S13 ECU? TopHat I believe went out of business as I cant find any website for them and their old number is not working anymore. Any insite would be helpful. Thanks everyone!!

Ok so I found out that the motor and tranny mounts will work most likely the drive shaft is too long, so what about the harness?

so your trying to use an s13ecu for and rb25det. the only ecu i have read about other than a stock rb25det ecu that can be made to work with the 25 is the z32tt. so if your trying to make a sr/ka ecu work it wont.

mounts will work your gonna have to wire the harness for an s13. dash plugs are completely different. im pretty sure the driveshaft will be too long.

Thanks for the input man. I appreciate it!!! SHould I just cut the S14 plug ends and re-wire in the S13 plug ends? Im ot really sure where to start with this.
